What is the difference between kurio 10 and 10s

Streaming television and films are becoming an increasingly important way in how content is watched. The Kurio 7S is YouTube and Netflix compatible, although for the latter it will require the Netflix app, which can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore, after that appstore is installed itself.

The 7S also has the Android Flash player, so it should currently work with Hulu too, as well as any other video sites that use that player. The 7S does have extensive parental controls in the Parental Area. The parent can log in with their account, and use this area to adjust the settings. It is possible to adjust each profile individually — the tablet can have up to eight, each of which can have separate files, apps, surfing settings and more — as well as adding or removing apps from an account.

Limits can be set for the amount of time that can be spent on the tablet as well. With regards to safe surfing, currently, over million websites have been both indexed and categorised as to whether or not they are appropriate and these update daily, with inappropriate content automatically blocked. This service is provided by CronLab, a company which provides a web content filtering service. The child first has to be given piggy tokens from the parental account, so there is no chance of them spending money in that store.

All these games are the ad free premium versions, so there is no chance of inappropriate ads in them. More games can be downloaded from the app stores, such as the Kurio Store or other third party app stores once they are installed.

There is a limited range of curated apps available from the Kurio Store. For a wider range of apps, uncurated stores such as the Amazon Appstore can be installed, which have many more apps, although these have not been individually chosen and therefore may not be as suitable for children.

A tablet like the Kurio 10s will grow with your child's needs and stimulate and encourage their development. I was sent this product for the purpose of this review, my opinion is honest and unbiased.

We've a Kurio 10 for R and encountered awful problems within a day of getting it. It would not boot up etc and we ended up having to return for repair not a great start and especially as it was a birthday present. Once fixed it has worked fine but R has also discovered the back door entry to the internet and the control panel so is supervised when using it. Which kind of takes away from the purpose of getting it for him.

I'm really glad to see that Kurio have rectified this with the 10s, I like the fact it is smaller and improvements have been made overall. We bought the original kurio 7 for both my boys last christmas, they were great for the first few months but then the problems started. These sound great…. I've never really took much notice of tablets like these but this one seems brilliant…. It's very reasonably priced……I always thought they cost more. We are just starting to look at researching tablets to invest in one for Ben for his birthday — like you I don't see the point in having something that isn't akin to the "real thing" so to speak.

Great Review but did you have to show Where's My Water 2!!! It's a great game but a bloody Rip Off having to buy all of the Stealth in-App purchases. Much rather simply Buy the game and play.
